Responsibilities

Job Description

  • To assist the Corporate Support Manager (CSM) in ensuring finance policies and processes are relevant and effective, and in compliance with governance guidelines and requirements.
  • To ensure all SYFC financial transactions comply with established governance guidelines and procedures.
  • To prepare the SYFC Annual Budget.
  • To ensure cash flow is adequate to support SYFC activities and operations.
  • To be responsible for the annual audit of financial statements.
  • To prepare monthly payroll, Central Provident Fund (CPF) contributions and Annual Income Tax Returns for approval and payment.
  • To prepare monthly expenditure statements for SYFC management.
  • To prepare and certify all payment vouchers for verification and approval.
  • To maintain records of transactions, receipts, billings, and payroll.
  • To lead and maintain the Fixed Asset Register in the Digital Corporate Support System (DCSS).
  • To prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements for verification and approval.
  • To submit to the Registry of Societies (ROS) any change of Management Committee (MC) members and upload annual audited statements to the relevant authorities.
  • To act as the primary administrator for the Payroll software and Accounting systems.
  • To act as the verification officer for SYFC medical claims.
  • To carry out secondary duties and other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess an LCCI Higher Accounting Certificate, Diploma in Accounting and Finance, Degree in Finance, or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and relevant accounting experience will be an advantage.
Other Information

  • Five-day work week (Tue to Sat, 8am to 5pm). Non work day and Rest Day on Sun and Mon.
  • Uniform (polo-tee) provided
  • Work location at SYFC (Seletar area)
Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC)

Established in December 1971 as the Junior Flying Club by the then newly-formed Singapore Armed Forces. Its mission is to promote aviation among youths and inculcate in them a strong passion for flying. This is done through its aeromodelling courses for secondary school students and flying training for JC and Polytechnic students. Its vision is to be a world class aviation training centre for youths and it strives to develop them to take up a career in the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
