About the Role

We are seeking a warm, engaging Preschool Educator who can speak and write Japanese to support communication with Japanese‑speaking parents and deliver Japanese‑language learning experiences. This role involves teaching, curriculum planning, parent engagement, and contributing to a positive, culturally rich learning environment in an ECDA approved preschool.

The ideal candidate brings a bubbly, friendly personality and is confident interacting with families while maintaining professionalism and ECDA‑aligned teaching standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons for preschool‑aged children.

• Develop and manage Japanese curriculum and lesson plans, ensuring alignment with centre goals and children’s learning needs.

• Plan and facilitate Japanese cultural activities and events (e.g., seasonal celebrations, cultural crafts, language immersion experiences).

• Liaise with Japanese‑speaking parents on children’s progress, centre updates, and learning matters (job‑related language requirement).

• Support centre events, parent‑teacher meetings, and cultural programmes.

• Maintain a safe, caring, and engaging classroom environment.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to centre‑wide initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with ECDA regulations and centre policies.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education recognised by ECDA.

• Ability to speak and write Japanese for curriculum delivery and parent communication.

• A bubbly, positive personality with strong interpersonal skills.

• Experience or interest in planning cultural activities is an advantage.

• Good communication skills and professionalism in parent engagement.

• Passion for working with young children and supporting their development.

• Team player with a warm, collaborative approach.
