The Project Coordinator (Property Development) is responsible for providing coordination, administrative, and operational support throughout the property development project lifecycle. The role involves coordinating with internal departments, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure that project activities are properly planned, documented, monitored, and completed according to the approved schedule, budget, quality standards, and project requirements.
Job Description
- Coordinate day-to-day activities related to property development projects from planning and pre-development stages through to project completion.
- Assist the Project Manager/Development Manager in monitoring project progress, milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Coordinate meetings, site visits, inspections, and project-related activities with relevant stakeholders.
- Follow up with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant parties on outstanding matters and project deliverables.
- Follow up on technical submissions, drawings, approvals, reports, quotations, and other project documentation.
- Monitor the status of development approvals, permits, licences, plans, and other required documentation.
- Ensure that the latest approved drawings, documents, reports, and correspondence are properly recorded and accessible.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, correspondence, reports, minutes of meetings, trackers, and project records.
- Monitor project expenditure against the approved budget and highlight potential cost overruns.
- Escalate significant quality, safety, technical, or construction issues to the relevant project personnel.
- Maintain professional working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks as required by the Management to support the objectives.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Property Development/Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Building Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) – four (4) years of relevant experience in property development, construction, project coordination, property management, or a related industry.
- Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-development, or township projects will have an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with CAD drawings, including the ability to review and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
- Detail-oriented with good documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a project team.
- Willingness to attend site visits and travel to project locations when required.
- Possess a valid driving license and own transportation is an advantage.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
