Role Description The Account Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for managing and growing customer accounts in the logistics sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, preparing and presenting service proposals, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and agents. The Account Executive will coordinate with operations and customs teams to ensure timely and accurate handling of shipments, documentation, and customer queries. Daily tasks include tracking shipments, updating clients on consignment status, negotiating rates, and ensuring that service delivery meets agreed performance standards. The role also includes supporting marketing initiatives, contributing to sales forecasts, and preparing regular reports on account performance and market trends.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in client relationship management, account management, and customer service within logistics or related industries.
- Experience in sales, business development, and negotiation, with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs clearance, transportation management, and general logistics operations.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to use online logistics management systems, CRM tools, and standard office software (e.g., MS Office).
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple accounts.
- Relevant education in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Comfort working on-site in Kuala Lumpur, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
