International School Principal
PORTMAN International School is seeking an experienced and results-driven Principal to provide strong academic leadership, oversee school operations, increase student enrolment and take full accountability for the school’s profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, academic and operational leadership for the school.
- Oversee the effective delivery of the Cambridge curriculum.
- Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase student enrolment and retention.
- Work closely with the Marketing, Sales and Admissions teams to achieve enrolment targets.
- Participate in school tours, parent consultations, open days and student recruitment activities.
- Take ownership of the school’s Profit and Loss (P&L) performance.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, revenue targets, expenses and manpower costs.
- Monitor fee collection, outstanding payments and overall financial performance.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead, supervise and evaluate teachers and administrative staff.
- Monitor lesson planning, classroom delivery, assessments and academic results.
- Manage student discipline, welfare, safeguarding and pastoral care.
- Build positive relationships with parents and address concerns professionally.
- Oversee school operations, facilities, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Education requirements and school policies.
- Lead staff recruitment, training, performance reviews and professional development.
- Prepare regular academic, operational, enrolment and P&L reports for management.
- Represent the school at meetings, events and external engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership or a related field.
- At least five years of teaching experience, including three years in a school leadership position.
- Experience in an international school and with the Cambridge curriculum is required.
- Proven experience in increasing student enrolment and improving student retention.
- Good understanding of budgeting, cost control, revenue management and P&L.
- Strong knowledge of school operations, academic management and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to lead teachers and improve academic performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, sales and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Able to manage parents, students and staff professionally.
- Commercially driven, accountable and able to work independently.

Pay: Up to RM8,000.00 per month
