ASG Automotive Sdn. Bhd., also known as Ahmad Sportrim Garage, is an automotive workshop based in Nilai, specialising in tyres, sport rims, suspension and wheel-related accessories.

As part of the AAR Jaya group, we are continuously improving our workshop operations, installation quality and customer service. We are looking for an experienced, responsible and hands-on Foreman to supervise our technical team and ensure every installation is completed safely, accurately and professionally.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Foreman to manage daily workshop activities, supervise technicians and oversee the installation of tyres, sport rims, suspension and related automotive accessories.

You will be responsible for ensuring correct product fitment, quality workmanship, workshop safety and timely job completion. You will also provide technical guidance to technicians and work closely with the Sales, Store and Management teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, assign and monitor daily installation jobs according to technician skills, job priority and workshop capacity.
• Supervise and assist technicians with tyre, sport rim, suspension and wheel-related accessory installations.
• Inspect vehicle condition before starting work and record any existing damage or relevant technical issues.
• Verify tyre and sport rim fitment, including tyre size, rim width, diameter, PCD, offset, load rating and clearance.
• Ensure suitable nuts, bolts, hub rings and other fitting components are used where required.
• Check for tyre or rim contact with the vehicle body, suspension or braking components.
• Supervise tyre mounting, balancing and wheel alignment where applicable.
• Inspect suspension components and identify wear, damage or installation issues.
• Supervise the installation and adjustment of absorbers, springs, coilovers and other suspension products within the workshop’s scope.
• Ensure suspension settings and ride height are suitable for the vehicle, product specifications and agreed customer requirements.
• Ensure all installations follow the correct procedures and manufacturer specifications, including tightening torque.
• Diagnose and resolve issues such as vibration, uneven tyre wear, steering pull, abnormal suspension noise and fitment problems.
• Provide technical advice to the Sales team on product compatibility and installation requirements.
• Inform the Sales team of additional findings or work required and ensure customer approval is obtained before proceeding.
• Monitor job progress and update the Sales team on delays or changes to completion times.
• Carry out final inspections and authorised road tests where necessary before vehicle handover.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, clean and ready for customer collection.
• Investigate customer complaints and comeback jobs, identify the causes and carry out corrective action.
• Ensure products, parts and quantities used are accurately recorded against each job order.
• Coordinate with the Store team on stock availability and report incorrect, damaged or defective products.
• Ensure removed customer parts are properly labelled and handled according to the agreed instructions.
• Monitor workshop tools, tyre machines, balancing machines, alignment equipment and vehicle lifts.
• Ensure technicians follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised working area.
• Guide and train technicians to improve technical skills, workmanship and productivity.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly workshop updates covering completed jobs, pending jobs, installation issues and comeback cases.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous working experience as a Foreman, Senior Technician or Workshop Team Leader.
• Hands-on experience in tyre, sport rim and suspension installations.
• Strong knowledge of tyre specifications, rim fitment, PCD, offset, clearance and suspension compatibility.
• Familiar with tyre mounting machines, wheel balancing equipment and wheel alignment systems.
• Able to diagnose tyre, wheel, steering and suspension-related problems.
• Able to supervise technicians, assign jobs and monitor installation quality.
• Able to perform final inspections and identify unsafe or incorrect installations.
• Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, trustworthy, responsible and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with the Sales, Store and Management teams.
• Experience with aftermarket sport rims, coilovers and suspension upgrades will be an added advantage.
• Automotive qualifications such as SKM, a certificate or diploma will be an added advantage.
• Must possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.
• Able to work 6 days per week, Saturday to Thursday.
