Lead the Future of Cyber Security Operations

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager - Operations to join our Global Enterprise IT team based in Malaysia .KL

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and mature Nufarm's global cyber security operations capability, ensuring effective detection, prevention, and response to cyber threats across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments. You will play a key role in strengthening Nufarm's cyber resilience, reducing risk exposure, and enabling secure business operations across our global enterprise.

Reporting to the Group Manager Cyber Security & Risk, you will lead security operations, drive continuous improvement of our managed Security Operations Centre (SOC), oversee incident response and vulnerability management programs, and work closely with business and technology stakeholders worldwide.

How You'll Help Us Grow

• Lead, enhance, and mature Nufarm's Security Operations Centre (SOC) capability, currently operating through a managed service model.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing cyber security operations team.
• Oversee threat monitoring, detection engineering, alert triage, and operational security processes.
• Direct and coordinate cyber incident response activities, including containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned.
• Implement and continuously improve SIEM, EDR/XDR, and threat intelligence capabilities.
• Manage and govern the enterprise vulnerability management lifecycle, including remediation prioritisation and exception management.
• Develop and report on operational security metrics, including MTTD, MTTR, incident trends, and security performance indicators.
• Manage relationships with strategic security vendors and managed service providers, including endpoint protection, SOC, and email security services.
• Coordinate external partners responsible for adversary simulation, penetration testing, and security assessments.
• Ensure consistent implementation of security controls across IT and OT environments.
• Support regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements, including alignment with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Risk, Manufacturing, and IT teams to strengthen enterprise-wide cyber security capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational resilience and reduce cyber risk.

You are a collaborative and technically capable cyber security leader with a strong track record in security operations, incident response, and team leadership. You thrive in fast-paced environments, can make critical decisions under pressure, and are comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across both business and technology functions.

You enjoy balancing strategic leadership with operational execution, leading teams through cyber incidents, improving security capabilities, and influencing security outcomes across a global organisation.

What You'll Bring Essential

• Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 8-12+ years of experience in cyber security, with a strong focus on security operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing SOC teams, cyber operations teams, or incident response functions.
• Hands-on experience with:
• SIEM platforms
• EDR/XDR technologies
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Vulnerability Management
• Firewall Management
• Risk Management frameworks
• Strong knowledge of:
• ISO 27001
• NIST Cyber Security Framework and Controls
• Experience leading and coordinating cyber incident response activities.
• Demonstrated experience managing security service providers, vendors, and external partners.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to present complex cyber security topics to leadership and business audiences.

Desirable

• CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cyber security certifications.
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• Exposure to threat intelligence, threat hunting, and adversary simulation programs.
• Experience supervising Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).
• Knowledge of cloud security across Azure and/or AWS environments.
• Experience supporting cyber security compliance and audit activities.
