Role Description The Senior Quantity Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. This position is responsible for overseeing all quantity surveying activities, including cost estimation, cost planning, and preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring project budgets, managing cost control measures, preparing and reviewing cost reports, and validating contractor claims and variations. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure financial accuracy and contractual compliance. The role also involves providing cost advice, supporting tender evaluations, and contributing to continuous improvement of cost management processes.

Qualifications

• Strong cost management capabilities, including Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning skills.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying documentation, particularly BOQ preparation and review.
• Experience in financial monitoring and reporting, including accurate Cost Reporting and budget tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of relevant experience in a quantity surveying role, preferably at senior level in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
• Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
