Job Description

Responsibilities

About the Team:

As part of the Sea’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, this role will work closely with senior management and risk management PICs across Sea’s diverse business lines and functional departments to manage ERM processes and drive ERM efforts across the group.

Job Description:

Execute the ERM framework

  • Review risk register submissions and ensure that the cross-functional risk taxonomy is applied consistently across the group.
  • Maintain and refine the unified risk assessment framework and risk register and align risk assessment processes across all BUs.

Identify and Assess Risk

  • Run a regular cadence of enterprise-wide risk assessments closely with BU owners and corporate teams through the risk management PICs to identify risks and mitigation plans.
  • Identify cross-BU and macro-level risks that sit outside individual BU scope; oversee existential, long-tail, long-horizon, or “fall-between-the-cracks” risks.

Govern, Report, and Audit

  • Establish regular reporting channels and cadence with senior management and escalate major risks to respective BU heads in a timely manner.
  • Track mitigation plan status and implementation progress closely with BU/function risk PICs.
  • Establish independent risk audit mechanisms to flag changes in the risk landscape, identify gaps in risk assessment, and assure effectiveness of risk management efforts.
  • Review and refine reporting process, including developing enterprise risk products to support risk register reporting and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in enterprise risk management, risk advisory, consulting, internal audit, or other business-facing roles involving risk assessment and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognised institution.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to quickly understand different business models and operations, identify key risk drivers, and connect business developments to enterprise-level risks.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to independently identify, assess and challenge risks, and translate complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Comfortable operating at both the strategic and operational levels, from framing enterprise-level risks for senior leadership to engaging BU and corporate risk PICs on individual risk items and mitigation plans.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage, influence and constructively challenge stakeholders across senior management, BU and corporate teams.
  • Strong project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and drive risk assessment and reporting processes effectively.
  • Curious, adaptable and able to quickly get up to speed on unfamiliar businesses and topics in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
  • Prior consulting experience would be a plus.
