We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Legal & Compliance to lead the legal and regulatory compliance function of a leading auto finance business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead legal and regulatory compliance advisory to business units and senior management.
• Monitor and implement BNM regulations and regulatory requirements relevant to the business.
• Review and advise on commercial agreements, policies, SOPs and governance matters.
• Liaise with regulators, external legal counsel and professional advisers.
• Oversee AML/CFT/KYC, transaction monitoring, STR and regulatory submissions.
• Lead compliance monitoring, audits, risk assessments and remediation.
• Manage investigations, customer complaints, whistleblowing and regulatory enquiries.
• Oversee litigation, tribunal matters and legal disputes with external counsel.
• Lead PDPA/data privacy compliance, including breach management and regulatory reporting.
• Manage external legal panel firms and stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• Degree in Law, Business, Management or related discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in Legal, Compliance, Regulatory or Governance, preferably in banking, financial services, insurance or auto finance.
• Strong knowledge of BNM regulations, AML/CFT/KYC and regulatory compliance.
• Good understanding of Hire-Purchase Act, Consumer Credit Act and PDPA.
• Experience working with senior management, regulators and external legal counsel.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical and communication skills.
• Willing to travel to regional offices when required.

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month
