Project Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Java/Spring Boot Engineer to join our Automotive Software Development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot and will be willing to contribute to Android application development activities when required.

This role offers an opportunity to work on next-generation automotive solutions, including infotainment, connected vehicle services, cloud-driven applications, and mobile integrations for leading automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

Develop RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend, mobile, and cloud-based applications.

Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to backend platform design decisions.

Support integration of backend services with Android-based automotive and mobile applications.

Assist Android development teams with feature implementation, bug fixing, troubleshooting, and peformance optimization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Android developers, QA engineers, architects, DevOps engineers, and product owners.

Ensure software quality through unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards.

Analyze and resolve production issues while maintaining high system reliability and performance.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation activities.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development using Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and backend service development.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud-native development practices.
• Understanding of Android application architecture and Android development concepts.
• Willingness and ability to contribute to Android development tasks when needed.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Experience with Android application development using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Knowledge of Android Jetpack components, MVVM architecture, and modern Android development practices.
• Experience in Automotive domain projects.
• Familiarity with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and Automotive Infotainment Systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
