About the Role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our Engineering team and provide engineering support for Online Leak Sealing (OLS) projects.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for engineers to gain hands-on exposure in mechanical design, engineering calculations, clamp fabrication, site surveys, material inspection and project execution.

Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Training and guidance will be provided to suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys for Online Leak Sealing (OLS) projects when required.
• Design clamps in accordance with ASME VIII Div. 1 and other relevant codes.
• Prepare clamp drawings using SolidWorks.
• Prepare and perform design calculations for composite wrapping repairs in accordance with ISO 24817:2015 and PCC-2.
• Attend technical clarification meetings with clients when required.
• Monitor clamp fabrication progress, including FAT, NDT and Fit Testing, through to delivery to site.
• Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for raw material procurement.
• Perform material inspection and verification as required.
• Provide technical support to site teams in resolving engineering issues during OLS projects.
• Assist site teams during OLS project execution when required.
• Support the Operations / Business Development Manager in technical and business development activities.
• Assist in developing in-house clamp machining and fabrication capabilities.
• Provide general engineering support for company projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with relevant working experience in mechanical design, pipeline, oil & gas, fabrication or engineering projects will have an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ASME VIII Div. 1, ISO 24817:2015 or PCC-2 is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) and Fit Testing will be beneficial.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
• Able to work independently as well as with a team.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
