Our client is an established industrial automation and system integration company and they're looking for an Automation Engineer. You'll gain exposure to end-to-end automation projects, working across PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial communications and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and program PLC control systems for industrial automation projects.
• Configure HMI and SCADA systems for monitoring and controlling industrial processes.
• Develop and modify control logic based on project and process requirements.
• Integrate PLCs with sensors, instrumentation, drives, motors, valves and other industrial equipment.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication systems such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP and Profinet.
• Perform testing, debugging and system validation during project execution.
• Participate in FAT, SAT and site commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot automation, PLC, HMI, SCADA and equipment-related issues.
• Provide on-site technical support during installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
• Work closely with Project Managers, technicians, customers and subcontractors to deliver automation projects.
• Prepare project documentation and maintain system configuration and software records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Candidates from Software Engineering, Computer Science or IT backgrounds with relevant industrial automation experience are also welcome.
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Experience with PLC, HMI or SCADA is preferred.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Omron, Mitsubishi or CODESYS is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation, electrical/control panels and industrial communication is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning and technical support.
