What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):
- Keep Production Running: Perform rapid troubleshooting, die repairs, and welding during production breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Preventive Care: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on progressive and transfer dies, keeping clear maintenance logs.
- Tooling Refinement: Inspect, polish, precision-weld, and replace worn die components to guarantee high part quality.
- Operations Support: Assist with die setup, alignment, die trials, and engineering modifications for new or updated automotive parts.
- Safety & Standards: Maintain a clean, organized 5S workshop environment and adhere strictly to plant safety compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Technical Engineers to report die conditions and contribute continuous improvement ideas.
What You Bring to the Team (Requirements):
- Education: Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Tool & Die Technology.
- Experience: 1–2 years of practical experience in automotive stamping die maintenance, die repair, or toolmaking.
- Core Technical Skills:
- Hands-on knowledge of progressive and transfer dies.
- Proficient in press operation support, die setting, basic machining, grinding, and TIG/ARC welding.
- Ability to read 2D technical die drawings.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometer, vernier caliper, height gauge).
- Work Style: Proactive mindset, high attention to detail, and a strong problem-solving attitude.
