Job Summary

The Accounts Executive is responsible for handling the accounts payable function and supporting daily accounting operations. This role ensures accurate processing of supplier invoices, timely payments, and proper maintenance of accounting records. The position will also assist the Finance Controller in month-end closing and other accounting activities. Experience with SAP system and exposure to full set of accounts will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable (AP) functions including verification, processing, and recording of supplier invoices.
• Ensure invoices are properly supported with relevant documents such as purchase orders and delivery orders prior to processing.
• Prepare and process supplier payments in accordance with the Company’s payment schedule and procedures.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliation and investigate discrepancies when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and organized filing of accounting documents and records.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with the Company’s accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by superiors from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting.
• Hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is required.
• Experience in SAP system will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to full set of accounts will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work in Port Klang, Selangor.
