As a Building Surveyor at BSR Consultant, you will conduct property inspections, assess building conditions, and prepare clear, accurate survey reports for clients. Daily tasks include visiting sites in and around Kuala Lumpur, identifying defects, documenting findings with photos and notes, and advising clients on compliance and remedial works. You will coordinate with property owners, agents, and contractors to schedule inspections and clarify technical matters. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Kuala Lumpur, with a mix of on-site inspections and work-from-home time for report writing, documentation, and client communication. You will also support continuous improvement of inspection standards and internal procedures.

• Professional expertise in building surveying, property inspection, or a closely related discipline, with strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and defect diagnosis.
• Understanding of local building regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements relevant to Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia.
• Ability to produce clear, concise written reports, including accurate descriptions of building conditions, risks, and recommended actions.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail when inspecting properties, recording measurements, and documenting findings.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, property owners, agents, and contractors in a professional manner.
• Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple inspections, meet reporting deadlines, and work independently in a hybrid environment.
• Proficiency with basic digital tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, photography) for documentation and reporting; experience with inspection or surveying software is an advantage.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Building Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; professional certifications or membership in a recognized surveying body are preferred.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to inspection sites within Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas.
