Position Overview
We are seeking a Fire Protection Technician (Site Services) to support our maintenance operations across petrochemical plants, refineries, and industrial facilities. The successful candidate will carry out servicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fire protection systems, coordinate schedules with customers and vendors, and work as part of a small site team. This role combines hands-on technical work with day-to-day site coordination, and includes driving the company van for team transport and emergency activation.
Key Responsibilities
Site Coordination & Scheduling
- Coordinate upcoming work schedules with customers and vendors, based on the weekly schedule issued by the office.
- Apply for Permits-to-Work (PTW) required for site access, under the supervision of the site supervisor.
- Conduct toolbox meetings with the team before the start of works.
Servicing & Troubleshooting
- Carry out servicing, inspection, and testing of fire protection systems together with the team.
- Troubleshoot system faults and carry out corrective measures.
- Support ad-hoc works such as foam bladder servicing, pump performance testing, and other project tasks.
Transport & Emergency Response
- Drive the company van to ferry the team to and from client sites.
- Handle collection and delivery of materials, equipment, and spares.
- Serve as one of the designated emergency response personnel, activated as the company driver.
Compliance & Safety
- Work in line with workplace safety, health, and environmental requirements (AWSHPP or equivalent certification required).
- Follow risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work conditions on all sites.
- Comply with client site rules and applicable SS/NFPA standards.
Reporting & Documentation
- Complete service reports, inspection records, and site documentation for submission to clients.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and job records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in petrochemical plants, refineries, or heavy industrial facilities.
- Fire protection system experience (foam systems, pumps, deluge valves, monitors) is a strong advantage.
- Possess Class 3 Driving license

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $1,300.00 - $2,000.00 per month
