About the Role

We are a growing consumer electronics company looking for an experienced Electronics Repair Technician to assist with the diagnosis, repair and refurbishment of a wide range of electronic devices.

This is a part-time / contract position, making it suitable for an experienced technician looking for additional work, flexible working days, or extra income alongside an existing repair job or business.

You will work on various types of consumer electronics, including:

• Smartphones
• Laptops
• Tablets
• Gaming consoles
• Handheld electronic devices
• Other consumer electronics

We are looking for someone who already has practical repair experience and can work independently.

You do not need a degree or formal electronics qualification if you can demonstrate strong hands-on repair skills.

What You Will Do

• Diagnose hardware faults and determine the cause of device problems
• Repair smartphones, laptops, tablets, gaming consoles and other electronics
• Perform soldering and micro-soldering work where required
• Carry out motherboard and PCB-level repairs
• Replace charging ports, connectors, buttons, screens, batteries, flex cables and other components
• Replace or rework small electronic components where required
• Repair damaged solder joints, connectors, PCB pads or traces
• Troubleshoot devices that do not power on, charge, display correctly or operate normally
• Perform software troubleshooting, installation, configuration and device setup
• Test repaired devices thoroughly before completion
• Identify whether a device can be repaired economically and recommend the appropriate solution

What We Are Looking For

You should already have hands-on experience repairing electronic devices.

Ideally, you have:

• At least 1 year of practical device or electronics repair experience
• Experience repairing phones, laptops, tablets, gaming consoles or similar devices
• Good soldering skills
• Experience with micro-soldering or motherboard repair
• Ability to diagnose faults instead of only replacing parts
• Experience using tools such as:
• Soldering iron
• Hot air rework station
• Multimeter
• Microscope
• Power supply or other diagnostic tools
• Good understanding of electronic components and PCBs
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision
• Good attention to detail
• Responsible handling of valuable electronic devices
• Able to communicate in English or Bahasa Malaysia
• Own transport and able to travel reliably to Rawang
• Answer "Fully understood" to the question "Have you understood the job description?"

Advanced BGA or chip-level repair experience is an advantage, but it is not compulsory.
