Responsibilities:
Report to Design manager and coordinate with project team such as Design, construction, & planning.
Support mainly ongoing and tender projects for design and engineering matters.
Work closely with the Consultants on including scope of services, design concepts and project deliverables
Handle clients’ clarification regarding tender, PQ and technical requirements
Prepare and present design progress status and slides to project team and clients
Manage design approval process with subcontractors, consultants and clients in a timely manner
Ensure strict compliance of the design in accordance with contractual requirements
Identify and highlight to management and project team of any potentials risks or issues that will impact project performance
Prepare construction/ shop drawings with CAD Operators
Design soil improvement and interpret monitoring results
Review monitoring results of instrumentation
Design of temporary facilities including ERSS
Interpretation of soil investigation results
Slope stability of temporary fill, and Excavation
Design related to drainage works
Requirements:
Recognized Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering from a recognized University
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a main contractor or design consultant firm with involvement in large scale reclamation/ soil improvement projects or equivalent
Proficient in Design software: SAP2000, Plaxis, Slope W, QGIS or equivalent
Experienced in Eurocode/BS or other codes.
Excellent understanding in Value Engineering principles
Positive working attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Proficient for Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills, and a “can-do” attitude.
Persistence and determination.
Ability to communicate articulately with consultants and subcontractors.
