Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, CPA).
- Candidates with relevant working experience in the construction, property development or contracting industry will have an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of computerised accounting systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Microsoft Excel).
- Strong numerical accuracy, close attention to detail and sound analytical and organisational capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage tight reporting deadlines and work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts for construction and property development projects, ensuring accurate and timely entries for general ledgers, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Handle project-specific billing, progress billings, retention sums, subcontractor claims and payment certifications.
- Perform regular account reconciliations including bank reconciliations, debtor aging analysis and creditor statement tracking.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, project cash flow forecasts and variance analysis against project budgets.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory accounting standards and tax regulations and coordinate smoothly with internal and external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial parties.
