What The Role Is

As a policy officer with the Palliative Care team, you will formulate and review national policies to strengthen Singapore's palliative care landscape, ensuring that quality end-of-life (EOL) care is accessible to patients across all care settings.

You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What You Will Be Working On

You will drive palliative care policy development to improve service delivery, build capacity, and achieve better outcomes for EOL patients and their families.

In support of the National Strategy for Palliative Care, you will identify service gaps and develop policies and service strategies to strengthen care transitions from acute to community care settings, enabling more patients to receive palliative care closer to home. You will also develop a strategy to harness technology and data to analyse capacity and utilisation across community palliative care settings, and develop measures to ensure timely care provision.

Building on policy formulation, you will also oversee effective service implementation, resourcing requirements and outcome evaluation, so our initiatives are effective on track, and on time.

What We Are Looking For

Candidates should preferably have:

• Tertiary qualification in any discipline. Relevant qualifications and/or prior experience in healthcare-related or policy-formulation roles would be an advantage but are not required
• Strong critical thinking, writing and presentation, and numeracy skills
• Comfortable with technical complexities
• Ability to work independently and as a team, and manage different groups of stakeholders.
