Role Description The Chemical Process Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Ipoh. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing chemical processes related to graphene and graphene-based products, ensuring efficiency, safety, and scalability. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing process data, performing calculations and simulations, preparing process documentation, and collaborating with R&D and production teams to implement improvements. The Chemical Process Engineer will also monitor process performance, support troubleshooting activities, and contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives within the plant. The role involves close coordination with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain quality standards, regulatory compliance, and operational reliability.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Chemical Process Engineering and general Process Engineering.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Process Design, including developing and optimizing process flows and specifications.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Process Control, including monitoring, automation, and process stability.
  • Candidates should possess familiarity with the Chemical Industry, including safety practices, regulations, and industrial standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Experience in process development or scale-up within chemical, materials, or nanotechnology environments is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices, waste minimization, and green chemistry principles is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with attention to detail and safety.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site in cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Proficiency with process simulation or modeling tools and standard engineering software is beneficial.
