Responsibilities

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated sponsorship and exhibition sales manager with a passion for selling to and managing key client accounts within the fast-growing InsureTech Connect Asia portfolio for its Singapore flagship event.

You will work closely mainly with the CEO, Asia to coordinate a strategy to maximize event success. Your objective would be to exceed sales revenue targets for each event and introduce new revenue from a wide a pool of potential sponsors and exhibitors as possible. In addition, you will look to maintain and develop excellent customer relations and have a thorough understanding of the industry and markets you are selling into.

InsureTech Connect is the largest global gathering for innovation and transformation in the insurance industry. We were founded in2016 in Vegas and have been fostering the growth of our community since then. With the success of InsureTech Connect over the past 13 years, InsureTech Connect expanded to Asia with our successful inaugural show held on June 2021.

The Candidate:
Reporting to the CEO, Asia, the successful candidate will be responsible for the sales and business development of InsureTech Connect Asia. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced sales professional with areal ‘can do’ attitude, able to multitask, preferably with 3 years of sales experience, insurance/events background and have consistently exceed targets.

The candidate should possess a University degree or equivalent work experience, excellent written English and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail, have good computer literacy and want to develop a long-term career in Sales. Strong networking and communication skills are required.

The role, what you’d do:
Secure exhibition booth and sponsorship revenue over email, telephone and face to face meetings

Build sales strategy with CEO, Asia, Marketing and Content team

Meet sales target and beyond with a desire to exceed expectations

Be proactive in the marketing, build and maintain relationships with existing clients while bringing in new business

Build new accounts to create new revenue opportunities from untapped markets

Researching and conducting sales campaigns to attract sponsorship

Excellent skills in writing proposals and tenacious follow up via telephone and email

Assist Marketing & Content to ensure the delivery of attendees to the event

At the show:
Face-to-face networking and business development

Build relationships with conference sponsors and delegates

Execute successful rebooking campaigns

What you’ll need:
A track record of sales performance, particularly face to face, including: objection handling, negotiation, relationship building, problem solving

Experience within media sales; conferences or exhibitions preferred

Proven experience in closing high value sponsorship deals

Confidence in conversing with VP and C-level prospects at peer-to-peer level

Demonstration of excellent market and product knowledge; knowledge of the Energy sector preferred

Enthusiasm, commitment to the role, and pro-activity

Outstanding communication skills – especially listening and conversation skills

The ability to understand business issues and spot opportunities

Effective organisation and time management

The ability to work both independently and as a team player

A hunger to reach and exceed targets
