The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Magento Developer to join the team and play a key role in the development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of our live eCommerce platform and PHP-based web applications.

You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver new features, system enhancements, integrations, and performance improvements while ensuring our digital commerce platform remains stable, secure, reliable, and optimized.

This is a hands-on role suited for an experienced application developer who enjoys solving technical challenges and working across eCommerce applications, APIs, system integrations, and production environments.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and provide production support for the company's live eCommerce platform and PHP-based web applications.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy eCommerce enhancements, including storefront features, checkout optimization, payment solutions, and customer experience improvements.
• Develop and maintain integrations between the eCommerce platform and backend systems, ensuring seamless data flow for orders, inventory, pricing, customer information, and product catalogues.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues involving the eCommerce platform, custom modules/extensions, APIs, third-party integrations, and backend connectivity.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integration solutions, including RESTful/SOAP APIs, integration flows, technical specifications, and system documentation.
• Conduct impact analysis for proposed system changes and enhancements, considering system stability, performance, data integrity, security, and customer experience.
• Monitor and optimize eCommerce application performance, including page load speed, API response time, checkout performance, scalability, and overall system reliability.
• Manage platform upgrades, security patches, releases, and deployments while minimizing disruption to business operations.
• Provide application and production support, working with internal technology teams and vendors to troubleshoot server, application, integration, and performance issues.
• Implement and maintain eCommerce security best practices, including secure payment processing, data protection, encryption, SSL/TLS, and relevant security standards.
• Develop and maintain system and integration testing to ensure application quality, data accuracy, and reliability across connected systems.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and application developers to deliver responsive, user-friendly, and optimized digital experiences.
• Work closely with PMO, Change Team, QA, Core Platform, business users, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver application enhancements and digital commerce initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to other application developers and contribute to application development best practices.
• Stay updated on eCommerce technologies, emerging platforms, development trends, and industry best practices.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in application development, preferably within an eCommerce environment.
• Hands-on Java (J2SE, J2EE) development experience using the Spring Boot framework, including designing and building RESTful microservices.
• Strong hands-on experience in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, and SQL.
• Strong experience developing, enhancing, and supporting live eCommerce platforms in a production environment.
• Experience with Magento 2.x / Adobe Commerce is highly preferred. Candidates with strong experience in other established eCommerce platforms may also be considered.
• Experience in RESTful/SOAP APIs, system integrations, and third-party integrations.
• Experience integrating eCommerce platforms with including payment gateways, shipping providers, inventory management systems, CRM platforms, ERP systems, and marketing automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with production deployment, troubleshooting, security patching, platform upgrades, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, deployment processes, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of eCommerce security practices, including SSL/TLS, secure payment processing, data protection, and PCI DSS.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Work location: Bukit Jalil (nearby Pavilion Bukit Jalil)
• Working days : Monday to Friday (9am - 6pm)
