Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
1. Daily Floor Operations
Shift Management:
Opening and closing the outlet, checking inventory, and ensuring all equipment (e.g., espresso machines, POS systems, chillers) is functional.
Cash Handling:
Managing cash drawers, performing daily sales reconciliation, and handling safe drops.
Problem Solving:
Resolving customer complaints quickly and managing sudden operational bottlenecks (e.g., long queues or tech glitches).
2. Staff Management & Leadership
Rostering:
Preparing weekly or monthly shift schedules to ensure optimal staffing during peak hours while keeping labor costs within budget.
Training:
Onboarding new hires on company service standards, POS operations, and workplace safety.
Performance Monitoring:
Motivating the team, ensuring staff follow grooming standards, and conducting basic performance evaluations.
3. Food Safety, Hygiene & Compliance
Quality Control:
Ensuring food and beverage presentation, taste, and temperature meet established brand standards.
Sanitation Audits:
Enforcing strict cleanliness guidelines (e.g., SFA guidelines in Singapore) across the dining area, counters, and food preparation spaces.
Compliance:
Maintaining strict adherence to workplace safety regulations and food handling certifications.
4. Inventory & Supplier Coordination
Stock Ordering:
Monitoring ingredient levels, ordering supplies from approved vendors, and minimizing food waste or stockouts.
Receiving Goods:
Inspecting delivery quality and quantity, ensuring proper storage (e.g., FIFO method).
