Civil Engineer

(To be stationed full time on-site for the project during construction phase)

• To assist and support the Project Manager/Director in planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the works.
• Work closely with site personnel, provide the direction and guidance to them in the implementation and completion of projects within the budgeted cost and delivery timeline.
• To ensure all works carried out in accordance to specifications, construction plan, procedures and work instruction.
• Handling technical and engineering problems.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and consultants in order to obtain approvals.
• Identify and access any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes, minimize environmental impact associated with construction activities.
• Attend and coordinate all site matters with various contractors, consultants and relevant authorities (technical or non-technical)
• Monitor progress of the construction site to meet targets of every stage of completion.
• Other duties as requested by Manager/Directors.

Professional Qualifications and Experiences

• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering;
• Sarawakian Bumiputera consultancy firm;
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM);
• Willing to travel/relocate
• For candidates with Diploma background, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil and structural work.
• For candidates with Degree background, a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in civil and structural work.
• Able to demonstrate competence and confidence in resolving site technical issues;
• Must be directly employed by the same consultancy firm as stated in item 18;
• Familiar with Malaysia's JKR Standard Specification, Standard Code of Practice & Regulations.
• Letter of commitment for this project is to be provided.
