Role Description The Process Engineer (CNC Machining) will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining machining processes to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in production. This full-time, on-site role based in Kedah, Malaysia involves developing process plans, selecting cutting tools and fixtures, and setting machining parameters for various CNC equipment. The role includes monitoring process performance, troubleshooting machining issues, implementing corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Process Engineer will collaborate closely with production, quality, design, and maintenance teams to introduce new products, improve cycle times, and reduce scrap and rework. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, work instructions, and process control plans, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in process design and process engineering for CNC machining operations, including tooling, fixturing, and parameter optimization.
  • Experience with process control, including monitoring machining performance, implementing control plans, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Well-developed analytical skills for root cause analysis, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making in manufacturing environments.
  • Educational background in engineering, such as Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machines (e.g., multi-axis machining centers, CNC lathes), and familiarity with G-code, CAM software, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and basic statistical process control is beneficial.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, apply GD&T, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced, on-site production environment.
