Requirements

  • Candidate must be currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems, computer hardware, software and networking.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, SQL, JavaScript or similar will be an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of databases, operating systems and network technologies.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, automation or Power BI will be an added advantage.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interest in technology and digitalisation.
  • Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated IT Engineering Intern to join our IT team and gain hands-on experience supporting technology and digital solutions within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

The intern will assist with IT systems, hardware and software support, data management, system troubleshooting, network-related activities, automation and digitalisation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the IT team in providing day-to-day technical support to users.
  • Support troubleshooting of hardware, software, network and system-related issues.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration and maintenance of IT hardware and software.
  • Support IT systems used in manufacturing and business operations.
  • Assist in monitoring IT systems, applications and network performance.
  • Support data collection, validation and basic data analysis.
  • Assist with database-related activities and data management.
  • Support the development, testing and maintenance of simple IT applications, tools or scripts.
  • Assist in automation and digitalisation projects to improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare technical documentation, user guides, reports and presentations.
  • Assist with IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Support cybersecurity awareness and basic IT security activities.
  • Work with users from different departments to understand and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform other IT-related duties and projects assigned by the supervisor.
