About Equitable Technologies

Equitable Technologies is a post-seed MedTech startup building PEEK, an AI-powered cancer screening platform. Founded in Boston, we now run our product and engineering development out of Kuala Lumpur.

We're a small, fast-moving team preparing to bring our product to market — which means identifying the right customers, partners, and channels, and building the relationships that will help us get PEEK in front of the people who need it.

About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Business Development to support our team as we prepare to bring PEEK to market.

This is a short-term, hands-on opportunity designed for a fresh graduate who wants practical exposure to business development in a startup environment.

You'll work closely with our leadership team to research potential partners and customers, conduct outreach, track opportunities, and support early-stage conversations. Since we're still developing our go-to-market approach, you'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas and learn how business development works from the ground up.

You don't need previous BD or sales experience. We're looking for someone who is curious, proactive, organized, and comfortable reaching out to people and getting things moving.

What You'll Work On

• Research and identify potential customers, partners, distributors, or other relevant channels for PEEK.
• Build and maintain prospect lists based on target criteria developed with the leadership team.
• Support outreach to potential prospects through email, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
• Draft outreach messages and follow up with prospects to keep conversations moving.
• Help coordinate introductory meetings and maintain follow-up with prospects.
• Track leads, conversations, responses, and outcomes to maintain visibility of the business development pipeline.
• Support the preparation of pitch decks, one-pagers, talking points, and other business development materials.
• Conduct market and competitor research to help the team better understand potential markets and opportunities.
• Take on ad hoc business development and market research projects as priorities evolve.

Who You Are

• Fresh graduate with a Bachelor's degree and degree certificate in hand. You must have formally completed your studies.
• Interested in business development, sales, startups, healthcare, or MedTech as a potential career direction.
• Comfortable initiating conversations with people you don't already know.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized and able to keep track of multiple prospects, conversations, and follow-ups.
• Proactive and willing to take ownership rather than waiting for detailed instructions.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Curious and willing to learn — especially in situations where there isn't an established process or playbook.
• Able to manage deadlines and follow through reliably.
