Hiring: Automated UAT Script Developer

Location: Malaysia

Work Arrangement: Yearly Contract renewable basis


Preferred: -Mandrain Speakers

Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM



About the Role

We are looking for an Automated UAT Script Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automated User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression test scripts to improve testing efficiency, increase test coverage, and reduce manual effort.

You will collaborate closely with Business Users, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Technology teams to ensure business requirements are validated through reliable, repeatable, and high-quality automated testing.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation Development

  • Analyze business requirements, BRDs, FSDs, and manual UAT test cases to identify automation opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated UAT and regression test scripts.
  • Build reusable automation components, libraries, utilities, and business functions.
  • Convert repetitive manual test cases into automated test suites.
  • Ensure automation scripts are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with testing standards.

Test Planning & Preparation

  • Review manual test cases and identify automation gaps.
  • Collaborate with Business Users and Business Analysts to refine test scenarios and test data.
  • Prepare automation execution schedules and regression test plans.
  • Support test environment readiness and automation tool configuration.

Test Execution & Defect Management

  • Execute automated UAT and regression test cycles.
  • Analyze test results and investigate failed test cases.
  • Log, track, and validate defect fixes with development teams.
  • Produce test execution reports and quality metrics.
  • Support UAT sign-off by providing automation evidence and test results.

Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and regression repositories.
  • Improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and QA processes.
  • Drive automation adoption across project and BAU initiatives.
  • Contribute to QA standards, governance, and testing best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Micro Focus UFT, Selenium, or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of programming or scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, or VBScript.
  • Experience with test management tools such as ALM/HPQC, Jira, or equivalent.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Automate is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to understand business processes and translate them into automated test scenarios.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple testing activities simultaneously.
