About The Job
In this role, the successful candidate will join our client as the Manager, Credit Management, responsible for evaluating credit applications and supporting sales growth while ensuring risk alignment. Based in Bandar Utama, the incumbent will ensure that credit approvals rely on genuine documentation, verified counterparties, and legitimate borrower intent. The role balances credit underwriting and policy enforcement with proactive portfolio monitoring and risk governance.

Key Responsibilities
- Credit Strategy & Execution: Align credit underwriting with business growth targets while remaining strictly within the organization's risk appetite.
- Credit Underwriting & Approval: Perform credit evaluations and grant approvals in accordance with internal underwriting guidelines and credit scorecard alignment.
- Policy Governance: Enforce, adhere to, and monitor compliance with credit policies and regulatory standards.
- Portfolio & Risk Analytics: Monitor ongoing credit portfolio performance and track key risk metrics.
- Collections & Recovery Support: Participate in and oversee collections, asset risk management, and recovery activities to minimize credit loss.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Banking, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 8 to 12 years of experience in a credit evaluation function.
- Certifications: Possession of Certified Credit Executive (CCE) or Certified Credit Reporter (CCR) certifications.
- Domain Knowledge: Proven experience in fraud detection and investigation while performing credit evaluation duties.
- Regulatory Exposure: Hands-on experience with CCRIS and attending to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) requests.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills with demonstrated experience leading a team.

The Credit Management team works closely with sales and business units to facilitate business growth without compromising credit quality. Reporting directly to senior risk and credit leadership, the team operates in a collaborative, structured environment focused on prudent risk assessment, policy enforcement, and operational excellence.
