Role Description The District Sales Representative is a full-time, hybrid role based in Selangor, Malaysia. This role focuses on growing and retaining business by building strong relationships with customers, understanding their operational and sustainability needs, and recommending Nalco Water solutions that deliver measurable value. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a defined territory, conducting site visits, performing technical assessments, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts in collaboration with internal stakeholders. The role also involves monitoring account performance, analyzing data and system outputs, resolving service issues, and identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling. The District Sales Representative will work closely with service, technical, and commercial teams to ensure high customer satisfaction and consistent execution of company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and account management skills, including territory planning, customer relationship building, and contract negotiation.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts related to water treatment, process management, and sustainability solutions.
- Experience using digital tools, CRM systems, and data analysis to identify trends, support customer decisions, and track performance.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Self-directed work style with solid organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple customers and priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or utilities environments is an advantage; prior exposure to water treatment is a plus.
- Willingness to travel within Selangor and nearby regions as required, and to work safely in customer plant and field environments.
