Job Description

Responsibilities

Project Manager — Cybersecurity

You know how to manage projects. Now help us deliver cybersecurity projects that matter.

We’re looking for an someone who can take ownership of a cybersecurity project from the moment it is handed over by Sales until the customer is live and the project is successfully closed.

This isn’t a role where you just run meetings, update project plans and chase people for status.

You own the delivery.

You’ll work across customers, Engineering, SOC, Presales, Sales and our technology partners to make sure projects are properly planned, executed and delivered.

Some days you’ll be running a customer steering meeting. Other days you’ll be working with engineers through an implementation blocker, managing a delayed dependency, coordinating a regional deployment or preparing for UAT and go-live.

If you enjoy taking ownership and bringing people together to get difficult projects across the finish line, you’ll probably enjoy working with us.

What you’ll actually be doing

Own the project

Take ownership of cybersecurity projects from kick-off through implementation, UAT, go-live, handover and closure.

Build the project plan, establish milestones, identify dependencies and make sure everyone understands what needs to happen and when.

You’re not just tracking the project.

You’re responsible for driving it forward.

Lead the customer

Be the primary project contact for the customer.

Run kick-off meetings, project updates, steering meetings, UAT coordination, go-live planning and project closure.

Set expectations clearly and communicate honestly when there are risks, delays or decisions that need to be made.

Customers should always know where their project stands.

Lead cross-functional delivery

Cybersecurity projects rarely involve just one team.

You’ll work closely with:

  • Engineering
  • Security Operations Centre (SOC)
  • Presales
  • Sales
  • Product and R&D
  • Infrastructure
  • Customer technical and management teams

Your job is to bring everyone together and keep the project moving toward the same outcome.

Manage scope

Understand what was sold, what was committed and what we are responsible for delivering.

Work with Sales and Presales during project handover to validate the scope, assumptions, deliverables and customer responsibilities.

When requirements start changing, identify the impact.

Not every customer request is automatically part of the project.

You should be comfortable managing expectations, identifying scope creep and working with the commercial team where a change request is required.

Manage risks before they become problems

Every project will have dependencies, blockers and surprises.

Identify them early.

Maintain project risks, issues, actions and dependencies and make sure there is a clear owner and resolution plan.

Escalate when necessary — but don’t escalate something that could have been solved through good project management.

Understand the technology

You don’t need to configure every technology yourself, but you need enough technical understanding to manage the project intelligently.

You’ll work across cybersecurity areas such as:

  • SOC and Security Operations
  • SIEM, XDR and MDR
  • Network Security
  • Threat Intelligence
  • DDoS Detection and Protection
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Endpoint Security

You’ll also manage projects involving Antarex platforms and managed services including MXOC+, XNI and DarkShield.

You should be able to sit in a technical discussion, understand the implications and translate them into project actions, risks and decisions.

Drive implementation, UAT and go-live

Make sure technical implementation activities are properly planned and coordinated.

Define readiness criteria.

Coordinate customer dependencies.

Drive UAT preparation and execution.

Track defects and outstanding items.

Make sure everyone understands what needs to happen before go-live.

And when it’s time to go live, make sure the project is actually ready — not just that the date has arrived.

Keep the project under control

Maintain clear and accurate:

  • Project plans and schedules
  • RAID logs
  • Action trackers
  • Meeting minutes
  • Scope and deliverables
  • Implementation milestones
  • UAT plans and results
  • Go-live readiness
  • Project status reports
  • Handover and closure documentation
  • Documentation matters, but documentation is not the job.

Successful delivery is the job.

Manage multiple projects

You’ll likely have several projects running at the same time across different customers and technologies.

You need to know which projects need your attention, which risks can wait and which ones cannot.

Prioritisation matters.

Be ready to travel

Our customers are across the region, and some projects require us to be there.

You should be comfortable travelling regionally when required for customer meetings, project kick-offs, implementation activities, UAT, go-live or critical project milestones.

You’ll probably fit well if…

You have around 2/3+ years of project management experience, preferably delivering cybersecurity, infrastructure, or managed services projects.

You’ve managed customer-facing projects rather than only internal projects.

You can confidently manage both technical teams and senior customer stakeholders.

You know how to build and manage a project plan rather than simply update one.

You understand scope, dependencies, risks, resources and change management.

You’re comfortable having difficult conversations when timelines slip, responsibilities aren’t being met or customer expectations need to be reset.

You can understand technical discussions well enough to identify their impact on the project.

You’re organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing several projects at once.

Experience with SOC/SIEM deployments, network security, cybersecurity managed services or enterprise security implementations would be a strong advantage.

How we’ll know you’re doing well

Simple.

Customers trust you with their projects.

Engineering knows exactly what needs to happen.

Sales trusts that what they sold is being delivered properly.

Risks are surfaced early instead of becoming surprises.

Scope is controlled.

UATs are organised.

Go-lives are properly planned.

Projects are delivered with fewer unnecessary escalations.

And when something goes wrong, you take ownership of getting the project back on track.

One last thing

We’re growing across the region, and the projects are getting larger and more complex.

You won’t walk into an environment where every project already has a perfect process and every answer is sitting inside a playbook.

You’ll help improve how we deliver.

If you want a role where you can combine project leadership, cybersecurity, customer management and regional exposure, we’d like to talk.
