Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly driven, strategic, and safety-conscious Port Operations Manager to oversee our marine terminal activities, vessel berthing schedules, and cargo handling operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing berth productivity, optimizing container yard resource allocation, and maintaining terminal throughput goals. Partnering closely with vessel agents, shipmasters, engineering crews, and local authorities, you will safeguard high-performing, fluid maritime logistics operations that strictly comply with international and local port safety mandates.Key Responsibilities

• Terminal Governance: Direct, evaluate, and monitor day-to-day stevedoring, container yard, and airside/landside port operations to maximize vessel turnaround efficiency.
• Berth & Vessel Planning: Coordinate vessel planning systems, labor deployment matrixes, and heavy machinery utilization (such as quay cranes and RTGs) to prevent maritime traffic bottlenecks.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) laws, and ISPS maritime security codes.
• Crisis Management: Develop and deploy rapid operational contingency protocols for inclement weather, equipment failures, terminal congestion, or active marine emergency incidents.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Alignment: Manage strategic relationships with shipping lines, haulage contractors, customs authorities, and external engineering maintenance providers.
• Data-Driven Process Improvement: Review operational KPIs (such as crane moves per hour and gate-in/gate-out turn times) to eliminate waste and implement sustainable continuous improvements.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated professional track record in marine terminal operations, shipping line logistics, port agency workflows, or heavy industrial fleet coordination.
• Technical Knowledge: Fluency in Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) (such as CITOS or equivalent planning software) alongside a strong understanding of vessel stability and stowage configurations.
• Competencies: Strong systematic problem-solving capabilities, clear logic under operational pressure, and uncompromised enforcement of industrial safety standards.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to co-ordinate alignments effectively across multi-disciplinary site crews, international shipmasters, and regulatory agencies.
