Responsibilities

HEAD OF IT | HEALTHCARE SERVICES | 2-YEAR CONTRACT | SINGAPORE

Our Client, an established healthcare services provider in Singapore, is seeking a Head of IT to lead its organisation-wide technology agenda. Bringing together IT strategy, digital transformation and operational delivery, this role offers the opportunity to strengthen the technology capabilities of a purpose-driven organisation and support the continued development of its care services.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will oversee the IT function, with team leads covering Applications and Systems, Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, and Projects, including in-house robotic process automation initiatives. You will serve as the organisation’s principal point of contact for IT matters, working closely with senior management and business stakeholders to ensure technology priorities support organisational needs and longer-term growth.

A key part of your mandate will be to develop and execute the IT strategy and roadmap. Partnering with business and process owners, you will identify opportunities to improve productivity, streamline workflows and strengthen service delivery through digitalisation, artificial intelligence and automation. You will also work with internal stakeholders and healthcare sector partners to support the adoption and ongoing use of sector-wide applications and systems.

Alongside this transformation agenda, you will be responsible for the reliability, security and resilience of the organisation’s technology environment. Your remit will span infrastructure, applications, end-user computing, cybersecurity and IT governance, including oversight of technology refresh programmes, preventive maintenance, software licensing and IT asset management. You will develop and maintain security policies, business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements, and cyber incident response plans to safeguard critical services.

You will also lead IT planning and budgeting, oversee vendors and project delivery, and explore external funding opportunities where appropriate. Working through your team leads, you will ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and timelines, with the quality, documentation and ongoing support required for sustainable operations.

We are particularly interested in technology leaders with at least 10 years of relevant IT experience, including a minimum of five years in a management or supervisory capacity. You should bring broad experience across IT operations, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, project management and the systems development lifecycle, together with exposure to data analytics and digital transformation. Experience within healthcare, government, government-linked organisations or similarly complex stakeholder environments would be particularly relevant.

Candidates should hold a recognised degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline. A project management certification would be an advantage. Beyond technical expertise, you will need the leadership presence and communication skills to advise senior stakeholders, guide specialist teams and translate organisational priorities into practical technology solutions. A structured approach, sound judgement and the ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day delivery will be essential.

If you are interested in the above opportunity, we look forward to receiving your resume in confidence to James (*************).
