Product Manager / Assistant Manager – Insurance

Our client is a leading insurer looking for a commercially minded Product Manager / Assistant Manager with a strong actuarial foundation to join its product team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership across the product lifecycle — from product design and pricing through to implementation, optimisation and ongoing performance management — while working closely with key stakeholders across the business.

The role will involve:

• Developing and enhancing insurance products from concept through to launch.
• Working closely with Pricing, Underwriting, Distribution and Operations teams to deliver commercially sustainable propositions.
• Assessing market and competitor trends to support product positioning and pricing decisions.
• Reviewing product performance, profitability and claims experience, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting regulatory submissions and ensuring products remain compliant with relevant requirements.
• Turning actuarial analysis into clear commercial recommendations and business decisions.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Part-qualified or qualified actuarial credentials, ideally with experience in pricing.
• Around 5–10 years of insurance experience, preferably spanning product development and/or pricing.
• Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability, with the ability to connect technical actuarial work to business outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
