Key Roles And Responsibilities

  • Support the collection and analysis of sustainability data (carbon, energy, water, waste) using a cloud-based data management platform
  • Identify trends and develop insights to support Sembcorp’s sustainability goals
  • Conduct data verification on sustainability data submitted by Markets monthly
  • Perform carbon accounting to measure and track Sembcorp’s carbon footprint
  • Manage overall administrative work of a cloud-based sustainability data management platform, and ensure ease of reporting through digitalization and/or clear guidance/SOP for internal users
  • Document and maintain sustainability-related data generated by Markets
  • Support other group function by delivering accurate and timely reporting of sustainability data for Sembcorp’s annual Sustainability Report and global raters (i.e. CDP) as required in accordance with relevant standards and frameworks (i.e. GRI, ISSB, GHG Protocol)
  • Assist in the development of environmental related policies, standards and guidelines in support of sustainability strategy for implementation in Markets
  • Conduct Environmental and Social screenings and physical climate risk assessment for projects using platform tools
  • Support with research (e.g. Biodiversity, Physical Climate Risk) on industry trends and best practices
  • Assist with IDC project assessments using software
  • Prepare sustainability reports, presentations, and supporting documentation
  • Maintain and organize project documentation and team records
  • Support the administration and coordination of sustainability initiatives

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Background in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management, Data Science, Business Analytics, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Environmental Sustainability topics (carbon accounting, biodiversity)
  • Strong program / project management, organisational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and detailed-oriented with strong problem solving and execution capability
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Experience with cloud-based environmental data management system is beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI)
  • Team player who can work independently
