Our client, an established energy organisation with a regional presence, is seeking a Legal Executive to support its commercial, investment and project activities across Southeast Asia. This role will suit someone who can translate legal risks into clear, practical advice for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial documents, including NDAs, service agreements, MOUs, engagement letters and tender documentation.
- Support legal documentation relating to investments, projects and business development initiatives.
- Advise internal stakeholders on corporate and commercial matters, including requirements under Singapore’s Companies Act.
- Identify potential legal exposure and recommend practical, business-focused solutions.
- Coordinate with external counsel, regional offices and related entities on cross-border legal matters.
- Monitor business activities for compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or an equivalent legal qualification; a practising certificate is not required.
- Around 2–3 years of relevant in-house or commercial legal experience would be advantageous.
- Hands-on experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts.
- Strong command of written and spoken English, with excellent analytical and document-review skills.
- Meticulous, organised and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Discreet, proactive and professional when handling confidential matters.
