Job Description

  1. Assist senior management and leadership with strategic planning and engagement relating to current and potential regulatory developments affecting the business and industry.
  2. Build and maintain professional relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and relevant government entities at the local, state, and federal levels.
  3. Develop and maintain established stakeholder networks across relevant government and public affairs circles to support the organisation's business and strategic objectives.
  4. Represent the organisation in external engagements, meetings, industry forums, and discussions with government and other key stakeholders.
  5. Engage, influence, and communicate effectively with key government stakeholders and decision-makers on matters relevant to the organisation and its industry.
  6. Collaborate with industry associations, advocates, and relevant stakeholders to identify areas of common interest and support industry-related initiatives.
  7. Monitor and assess regulatory, policy, and government affairs developments that may have an impact on the business.
  8. Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in government and public affairs to continuously strengthen engagement strategies and approaches.
  9. Provide relevant insights and updates to senior management on government affairs, regulatory developments, stakeholder engagement, and emerging industry issues.


Required Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government affairs, public affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  • Established professional relationships and networks with relevant government stakeholders and entities.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and communicate effectively with senior government stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong government affairs / public affairs exposure, with experience representing an organisation in external engagements, meetings, discussions, or industry forums.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess regulatory and policy developments and their potential business impact.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required for meetings, conferences, stakeholder engagements, and other relevant events.
  • Contract position available.
