Job Summary

EOS Innovation Singapore seeks software engineers to develop advanced defence products within multidisciplinary teams. This role involves hands-on software development, hardware integration, and evolving product requirements, suited for engineers who solve practical problems and deliver production-ready software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain software for defence systems, including equipment interfacing, control functions, data processing, automation, and user applications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate software with prototypes, experimental hardware, embedded devices, and evolving system designs
• Translate engineering requirements into practical software designs and contribute to verification and validation to ensure performance, safety, and compliance
• Investigate and resolve technical issues during development, integration, testing, and production support, addressing unexpected system and equipment behaviors
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation such as design descriptions, interface definitions, test procedures, test records, and manufacturing support materials
• Apply software engineering best practices including version control, code review, debugging, testing, and configuration management
• For senior engineers, lead software design activities, contribute to architecture decisions, support design reviews, and mentor junior engineers
• Engage with internal stakeholders and customers to clarify requirements, communicate technical progress, and support engineering decisions throughout the product lifecycle

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Experience with software development tools and practices, including source control, development environments, compilers, debugging, and test tools
• Experience in one or more technical areas such as C, C++, Python, embedded or Linux-based development, hardware interfacing, network communications, web-based interfaces, JSON, or automated testing
• Experience delivering software from concept through prototyping, integration, verification, and release (expected for senior candidates)
• Experience working in defence, safety-critical, regulated, or high-integrity engineering environments
