We are looking for an Investment Manager to join VSYN Group, with a focus on private markets and alternative investments.

The Role

We are looking for an Investment Manager – Private Markets & Alternative Investments to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

The role will be involved across the investment lifecycle, including sourcing and evaluating opportunities, financial analysis and valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring and execution, preparation of investment papers, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.

The Investment Manager will also work closely with founders, management teams, professional advisers and investment partners across selected transactions and investment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, screen and evaluate potential investment opportunities
• Conduct financial analysis, valuation and investment modelling
• Coordinate commercial and financial due diligence
• Support transaction structuring, negotiations and execution
• Prepare investment papers and recommendations
• Conduct company, sector and market research
• Monitor portfolio companies and existing investments
• Maintain investment pipelines and transaction documentation
• Work with management teams, advisers and investment partners
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Approximately 5–10 years of relevant professional experience
• Background in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, asset management or related fields
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
• Good commercial judgement and ability to assess businesses beyond financial metrics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline
• CFA, CA, CPA or other relevant professional qualifications would be an advantage

We are looking for someone who combines analytical discipline with commercial judgement and is comfortable working across different sectors and transaction types.
