Company Description The Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA), founded in 1989, is a non-profit industry association representing Malaysian rubber glove manufacturers and related suppliers. It serves as the official voice of the rubber glove industry in Malaysia, working closely with government agencies and ASEAN trade associations to promote and protect the industry’s interests. MARGMA offers a shared platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of views to support members’ commercial objectives and strengthen trade relationships. The association assists members in addressing domestic and international business and industry issues, and is overseen by an elected Management Committee supported by a dedicated Secretariat. Membership includes both ordinary members who are rubber glove manufacturers and associate members from supporting organizations.
Role Description The Project Management Intern is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. This position supports project planning, coordination, and execution for initiatives that benefit MARGMA members and the wider rubber glove industry. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in preparing project documentation, timelines, and status reports, as well as tracking milestones and deliverables. The intern will help organize meetings and events, coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, and maintain clear communication channels. Additional responsibilities may include collecting and analyzing data for project decision-making, supporting program management activities, and contributing to process improvements under the guidance of senior staff.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data to support project decisions.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Foundational Project Management and Project Planning skills to assist in organizing tasks, timelines, and resources.
- Interest or exposure to Program Management, including coordinating multiple related projects or activities.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software) and basic project tracking tools.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a dynamic, industry-focused environment.
- Interest in the manufacturing or rubber glove industry is an advantage.
