Full Time Corporate Trainee - New York Payment Jobs, in Commerz Global Service Solutions Selangor - Maukerja

Job Purpose:

This position supports the Bank’s unwavering commitment to maintain professional, client centric relationships with existing as well as prospective customers for Commerzbank New York. The position serves as the primary source of contact for borrowers, lenders, investors and trading partners. Key to Group Services – Banking & Markets Operations, the role involves working closely with the NY GS-OPS team and other support functions both locally and globally.

• Possess knowledge in Banking Operations, specifically for Payment processing flow.
• Responsible for the efficient and accurate processing for incoming and outgoing payments at a high volume, with a specific deadline.
• Release urgent USD payments as arranged with the remitter or upon request and in consideration of the FRB account balance requirements as communicated daily by MTR management team.
• Monitor Continued Linked Settlement (CLS) payments.
• Enter, Qualify, Map or Approve payments, monitor payments and messaging queues to ensure the completion of daily workflow.
• Monitor MTR group email inbox for responding or act on the email as necessary. Escalate any urgent or important issues to the MTR management team.
• Work with Team Head/HOD to ensure accurate and efficient processing and timely resolution of all customers, bank and interdepartmental problems that arise related to USD currency clearing services.
• Perform sanctions screening on payment messages and transactions in accordance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
• Identify potential sanctions hits, conduct initial review and determine appropriate actions (e.g., release, reject, block or escalate).
• Handle OFAC-related investigation cases, including flagged items in incoming/outgoing messages, and coordinate with Compliance and other stakeholders on resolution.
• Identify and escalate issues to Team Head/HOD where attention and senior intervention is required.
• Handle investigations and inquiries related to USD and foreign currency payment transactions, including incoming messages, returns, refunds and other operational issues.
• Create transparency through reports & internal controls and assist in audits and regulatory reviews.
• Maintain orderly records and proper audit trails.
• Report all unusual transactions to Checker/ Team Head.
• Follow and support the process relating to controls, productivity and adhere to the Service Level Agreement.
• Provide, monitor, track and evaluate transaction volumes, key control, functional checks and provide daily/ weekly/ monthly volume for analysis and KPI management.
• Ensure all appropriate legal and regulatory requirements are met and foster a “Compliance and due process culture” for GS-OPS.
• Miscellaneous responsibilities as required.

• No working experience is required.
• Minimum CGPA is 3.0 pointer

• Required language(s): Fluent verbal and written in English required.
• Required Skill(s): MS Office etc.
• Able to work at New York (US) night shift.

NOTE: Successful candidates will be employed on 12 Months contract directly under Commerz Global Service Solutions Sdn.Bhd.. Upon completion of the Corporate Trainee Program, permanent employment will be offered based on the overall performance evaluation throughout the program
