Role Description The Web Designer (Digital Commerce) will design and maintain visually compelling, user-friendly websites and digital experiences that reflect NALA’s brand and cultural storytelling. This full-time role is on-site in WP, Kuala Lumpur, working closely with graphic designers, content creators, and developers to translate brand concepts into responsive and engaging web interfaces. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating layouts and UI elements for e-commerce pages, optimizing site navigation and user flows, and ensuring a consistent visual identity across all digital touchpoints. The role also involves preparing graphics and assets for web, collaborating on campaign launches, and continuously improving site performance and usability based on analytics and user feedback. - Strong web design skills, including layout, UI/UX fundamentals, and visual hierarchy for digital commerce experiences.
- Proficiency in graphic design and creating web-ready graphics that align with brand guidelines and cultural storytelling.
- Experience with front-end development fundamentals (e.g., HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.
- Ability to design responsive web experiences that function seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or CMS tools (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar) is beneficial.
- Competence with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to iterate based on feedback and data.
- Ability to work on-site in WP, Kuala Lumpur, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary, culturally focused design team.
- Relevant education in design, digital media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
