About the Role

We are seeking a forward-thinking professional to join our IT-Governance team as Assistant Manager / Manager – Technology Standards & AI Governance. This role is critical in shaping responsible AI adoption, enforcing technology standards, and ensuring compliance with international frameworks such as ISO27001 and PCI-DSS.

Key Responsibilities

AI Governance & Assessment

• Develop and enhance AI governance frameworks, including risk classification, approval workflows, and monitoring.
• Lead AI tool and use-case assessments to ensure compliance with responsible AI principles, regulatory expectations, and data protection requirements.
• Maintain an approved AI tools register, track outcomes, and escalate non-compliance.
• Coordinate governance reviews for internally developed and vendor-provided AI solutions.

Technology Standards & Policy Development

• Draft, review, and update technology standards, responsible AI guidelines, and IT policies aligned with ISO27001, PCI-DSS, and AI governance requirements.
• Design governance frameworks for technology standards, AI usage, and information classification.
• Monitor and report compliance metrics and governance performance.

Information Security & Compliance

• Lead PCI-DSS compliance initiatives across applications.
• Conduct software, vendor, and AI compliance assessments, managing remediation through closure.
• Implement information classification requirements for IT documentation and AI artefacts.
• Oversee third-party access control systems and vendor compliance.

Stakeholder Management & Training

• Communicate effectively on technology standards, AI governance, and policy enforcement.
• Manage vendor relationships regarding compliance and AI governance obligations.
• Collaborate with auditors on compliance and governance assessments.
• Conduct awareness sessions to support responsible AI adoption.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Governance, or related field.
• Professional certifications in Information Security, IT Governance, or AI Governance (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO27001, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, ISO/IEC 42001).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT governance, compliance, or technology standards, with exposure to AI governance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PCI-DSS, ISO27001, information classification, and AI governance concepts.
• Proficiency in conducting technology, vendor, and AI use-case assessments.
• Experience with third-party access control systems, vendor management, and governance reporting.
• Excellent English communication skills, with strong documentation and policy-writing abilities.

Pay: RM10,000.00 per hour
