Scope of Position

Haskell's Business Development Intern will work closely with the Business Development and Marketing teams to support market development initiatives, client engagement activities, and strategic growth efforts. The intern will assist in conducting market research, preparing business development materials, coordinating client-facing activities, and maintaining business development resources to support the successful pursuit of new opportunities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, proactive, and has a strong interest in leveraging AI to generate market insights and identify business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitor benchmarking to identify potential business opportunities and market trends.
2. Assist in preparing business development presentations, capability statements, client proposals, and other commercial materials.
3. Support the Business Development team in identifying prospective clients, maintaining prospect databases, and tracking business opportunities.
4. Assist in coordinating client meetings, networking events, exhibitions, conferences, and other business development activities.
5. Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop business development collateral, company profiles, project profiles, and presentation materials.
6. Organize, maintain, and update business development databases, CRM records, and market intelligence information.
7. Prepare reports, market analyses, and dashboards using relevant statistics and business data.
8. Support the Business Development team in researching new markets, industry sectors, and strategic partnerships.
9. Explore and utilize AI tools to improve market research, analyze business trends, and generate commercial insights.
10. Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Project Management, Design, and Operations, to support business development initiatives.
11. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, International Business, Management, Communications, or a related field.

Specific Knowledge & Skills

• Strong interest and analytical ability in business development, market research, sales, and commercial strategy, with the capability to interpret market trends and identify opportunities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), with familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini) for research, productivity, and business analysis being an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within cross-functional teams.
