Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:


Safety Compliance & Monitoring

  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely closure of safety-related findings.
  • Assist in maintaining safety records, permits, licenses, and statutory documentation.


Incident Management

  • Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts.
  • Prepare incident investigation reports and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accident and incident statistics and prepare monthly safety reports.


Training & Awareness

  • Conduct safety induction training for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
  • Organize safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and awareness campaigns.
  • Promote safety awareness and encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.


Risk Assessment & Hazard Control

  • Assist in conducting Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC).
  • Monitor implementation of safety control measures.
  • Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is properly used and maintained.


Emergency Preparedness

  • Coordinate emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and emergency drills.
  • Ensure emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits are properly maintained and accessible.


Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain and update safety-related records, training documentation, and inspection reports.
  • Prepare periodic safety performance reports for management review.
  • Assist during external audits, inspections, and regulatory visits.


Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a safety, health, and environment (SHE) role.
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or related industries is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health regulations and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and incident investigation techniques.
