Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based at Alpro Pharmacy in Ipoh. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately, verify prescriptions, and provide counseling on proper medication use, side effects, and drug interactions. The role includes conducting medication reviews, supporting chronic disease management, and offering health advice tailored to individual patient needs. The Pharmacist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the outlet, oversee stock management and inventory control for pharmaceuticals, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, supporting health promotion activities, and contributing to a positive, patient-centered experience in the pharmacy.

Qualifications

  • Recognized degree in Pharmacy and valid registration / license to practice as a Pharmacist in Malaysia.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, prescription screening, and medication safety, with attention to detail in dispensing.
  • Effective communication and counseling skills, with the ability to explain medications and health information clearly to diverse patients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team and provide community-oriented patient care.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, including inventory control, documentation, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Ipoh, including weekends or shifts as required, and to participate in health campaigns or outreach programs.
  • Prior experience in community pharmacy or retail pharmacy settings is an advantage; new graduates with strong clinical knowledge are also encouraged to apply.
