Responsibilities
About the role
Lead projects from initiation through implementation, post-production support and closure. Develop project charters, objectives, scope, Statements of Work (SOW), project plans and delivery schedules. Establish project steering committees and working committees and manage stakeholder engagement. Support business case development, technical solution planning and commercial activities.
Key responsibilities
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risks, issues, dependencies and changes
Work closely with business users, system analysts, vendors and project teams to gather and validate business, functional and non-functional requirements
Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships and monitor delivery against agreed SOWs and contracts
Oversee project deliverables across design, development, system integration, testing and deployment
Ensure key project and SDLC deliverables, including BRD, FSD, SIT, UAT and closure documentation, are completed and signed off
Monitor project financials, including budgeting, forecasting and project expenditure
Conduct project kick-off meetings and regular project governance meetings
Prepare weekly performance reports and monthly project status updates for key stakeholders
Manage projects across different teams and locations, including regional environments
Plan and coordinate post-production support and facilitate project closure
About you
Recognized Degree in Information Technology, Business, Management or a related field
Minimum 7 years of IT Project Management experience
At least 2 years of experience in the banking / financial services industry
At least 3 years of experience managing large regional projects exceeding RM10 million
At least 3 years of infrastructure support or service experience
At least 5 years of experience managing more than 20 stakeholders across multiple projects concurrently
Minimum 5 years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and related processes
Strong experience in project planning, delivery, risk and issue management, budget control and stakeholder management
Strong vendor and subcontractor management experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills
