Lead and drive the organization's software development and engineering strategy, ensuring the delivery of innovative, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions that support business growth and digital transformation. This role is responsible for overseeing development projects, managing engineering teams, fostering innovation, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to achieve strategic objectives.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the development and engineering department to meet the company’s long-term objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT security strategies to protect organisational application, data and software.
- Coordinate with IT leaders to deliver efficient build services and ensure user satisfaction.
- Manage vendor relationships and contractual agreements for development and engineering. Collaboration with other department to oversee the creation and implementation of operational policies, best practices, and procedures.
- Ensure all IT operations align with legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Manage the software development lifecycle from planning, execution, to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure the alignment of software engineering practices with industry standards and the company’s policy.
- Promote innovation in the development of new software products and improvements to existing ones.

- Identify and mitigate risks associated with software development.
- Implement quality assurance practices to ensure the development of high-quality products.

- Evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching to ensure high performance Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements and company objectives are met
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, a Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of managing large, complex software development and IT engineering projects successfully
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and other project management approaches
- Prior experience in talent management, including hiring, coaching, and performance evaluation
- Certified in IT management, governance or related discipline such as CISSP, CGEIT, PMP, Prince 2, Scrum Master, COBIT, ITIL will be advantages
